Did you splurge a little too much on treats over the holiday season?Has regular exercise slipped off your priority list?If you want to jump-start your journey to post-holiday weight loss, consider participating in the Regenerative Medicine Center Diet Study.

We are looking at up to 3 different diets, done in sequence, and the impact on body composition (lean body mass and body fat) and inflammatory markers.

Inflammatory markers are important to monitor because if inflammation becomes chronic and uncontrolled, it can cause health issues, ranging from seemingly vague complaints like stomach issues or joint pain, to severe conditions like cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Participants may choose to do any or all of the three diets being utilized:• Orenda 10-Day Clean, Burn, Shape, which utilizes 3 Orenda supplement products in combination with a predominantly plant-based diet to detox the body for 10 consecutive days. During this cleanse, participants are provided with a list of foods they are allowed to consume and recommended portions. The diet is plant-based with an emphasis on non-starchy vegetables and legumes, with a moderate amount of certain fruit is allowed.

• ProLon Diet is a 5-day plant-based dietary program that mimics fasting by nourishing the body with specific nutrients while promoting regenerative and rejuvenating changes. Fasting has been shown to have positive effects on regeneration markers and various health metrics in humans, as well as decreased biomarkers for risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and aging. The ProLon Diet is easy to follow since it includes all of the food you need for the 5 days as pre-made, pre-portioned meals which include plant-based energy bars, soups, a variety of snacks, drinks, and supplements.

• HCG Diet uses self-administered Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) injections along with a restricted calorie diet to lose weight and optimize body composition. Patients on the HCG Diet are given food lists and guidelines on meal portions to follow. Exciting results are already coming in from the patients who have completed the diet study.

From the data collected so far, the three diets run in sequence are showing the following beneficial effects:

• Lowering total and LDL cholesterol• Lowering triglycerides• Lowering the systemic inflammatory markers fibrinogen, Lp-PLA, and hs-CRP• Lowering fasting blood glucose• Lowering hemoglobin A1c (a marker of how well the body is handling sugar)• Weight loss, specifically loss of body fat• Lowering markers of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (autoimmune disease)• Lowering Body Mass Index (BMI)
